Connecting Spaces
An installation featuring various media, aiming to foster new narratives of the dialectic of the inside, the outside, and the world beyond.
The exhibition features a reactive soundscape, which is an ambient composition fed by sound impulses picked up by a microphone placed in the space, or in the vicinity of the site where the sound-performance is taking place. The soundscape of the space is thereby expanded into a narrative cinematic ambient composition incorporating the original sonic phenomena of the moment.
This approach stems from my ongoing exploration of space as a fluid and borderless entity, extending beyond the built environment into a global context. Through my concept of Substanzraum – the space of substance, I investigate how sound shapes spatial perception and how architectural and natural environments can merge through resonance and ephemeral structures. The installation materializes these ideas by transforming the existing soundscape of the place into a dynamic electro acoustic composition that adds and reveals layers of sonic spatial experience, supported by visual artifacts and spatial interventions.
